What does motto mean when editing profile on Xbox 360?

Xbox Kinect is a ball-tracking technology that allows your voice to interact with the game. I have to say I wasn’t really sure what slogan we were going to use for our Xbox Kinect video gaming experience. We already had a slogan we used on our garage doors for an auto-complete option. This was good because it meant you didn’t have to say your first name every time you entered the garage; however, when you’re playing a driving game and need to be sure of a spot, this is not an option you want to have.

We went with the best slogan we could find: “itsupportune.” This said it in the context of a driving game. You know, when you hit that open road, you want to be able to nail that next great shot. When you hit that bumper, you want to be able to line that up perfectly. The way to do this is by using a phrase that describes your aiming location on the screen, in the context of a game like Call of Duty or other first person shooters. So we went with “itsupportune.”

It may sound silly when you have to edit your own video game, but if you look at it closely this is one of the most useful features of the Xbox 360.

When you are recording a video game, you can quickly go into the Xbox 360’s video editing section and change what you are doing while you are playing. Now think about this for a moment. What does this mean for you as a gamer?

If you want to edit your game; what do you have to do? You simply have to put in your new phrase or words. It will then play in real-time while you are playing the game. For us, this meant we could quickly highlight certain points in the game that we wanted to be sure we’re doing right.

This feature may seem trivial, but the truth is that this small thing adds a lot to what you can do. Say you are playing a gun game. You have an objective — to kill X number of zombies within a certain time period. However, it is extremely difficult to tell when you are killing too many zombies; when you are killing zombies; when you are getting “over boosted” by your teammates; and when you are just plain having trouble with the mission.

We knew from our testing that we had to do something quick and to the point; so we started saying, “Hey, I’m going to say this once; do I need to say this?” In this example, what we found is that saying, “I’m going to say this once” was actually the most effective use of the “Say” function. What you need to realize is that when you say something in Xbox Live, it will actually embed itself in your words and create an effect after the fact.

For example, if you are playing as a soldier, you are sent to a remote island to eliminate targets.

The enemy is coming at you with machine guns and you need to get to the chopper that is flying overhead. Now, there is a tree that is blocking the way; and obviously you are not able to jump through the trees in order to shoot the enemy. However, what you can do is say, “I’m going to shoot through the trees until I reach the chopper.” This will embed the action of shooting through the trees in your statement; and your team will know that you were really attacking the target with accuracy and speed.

Conclusion

In the above example, what you need to remember is that it doesn’t matter if you are stating, “I’m going to shoot through the trees until I reach the chopper,” or, “I’m shooting trees until I am knocked out,” you simply need to be saying the action as if you were performing it. It’s just that simple! Using this method, you can easily turn your Xbox Live gameplay from good to great. So, what does slogan mean when editing profile on Xbox 360? It means making your gamer voice your own!
